So it’s no secret I love all things Caribbean and that I have a special place in my heart for Jamaica, which is how Raediant Movement’s Dancehall Fusion class was born (A Celebration of Caribbean Dance and Music) . Through my classes and workshop events some of you have been asking where I like to party, what dancehall events I go to, and even where you can find some good Caribbean food.
Since moving to the DMV on the more permanent basis in 2006 I have attended different events and have had several different experiences attending weekly parties, learning about local DJ’s and a lot of other random fun facts you learn while exploring a new city for that one thing you can’t get enough of. So I decided to share a short list of some of my personal favorite Dancehall/Caribbean related things that I have experienced and enjoyed while searching for Dancehall in the DC Metro Area. Take a peek in my bag and I encourge you to go check out some the things listed below, click the links but most importantly get up and go experience them for yourself.
